2 parts below minimum — reorder raised
  • Told before you run out

Minimum levels trigger alerts and reorder requests while there is still time to act.

  • Counted, not guessed

Scan to issue and receive parts, so the number on screen matches the number on the shelf.

  • Parts cost, per asset

Consumption ties back to the work order and the asset, so spend is visible where it is generated.

Stock levels you can rely on

Inventory only helps if the figure is right, which means updating it as parts move.

  • Set minimum levels per part and per store
  • Automatic alerts and reorder requests when stock runs low
  • Cycle counts to keep the numbers honest over time

Count a few bins often, not the whole store once a year.

Issue parts against the job

A part leaving the shelf should always be attached to the work it was used on.

  • Scan a barcode or QR code to issue and receive stock
  • Parts consumed are logged against the work order automatically
  • Reserve parts for scheduled work before the day arrives

FAQ

Parts Inventory Management questions

Can we manage stock across several stores?

Yes. Each site or store holds its own levels and minimums, with visibility across all of them so a part sitting idle at one site can be found rather than reordered.

Do we need barcode hardware?

No. A phone camera scans the codes. Dedicated scanners work too if your stores already use them.

Does it raise purchase orders?

It raises reorder requests when stock passes its minimum, with the part, supplier and quantity ready for whoever approves purchasing.

Can we see which asset consumes the most parts?

Yes. Because parts are issued against work orders, consumption rolls up per asset — often the clearest signal that a unit is due for replacement.
